Chapter Submission Template
Author Name, Chapter Title & Introduction
Use the Chapter Submission Template to ensure your interview follows the content guidelines and is formatted properly for publishing.
- Authors Name – This will be the name of the Expert being interviewed. It should be exactly as it will be listed as author in the book.
- Chapter Title – This should describe the expertise or field the Expert is being positioned as an authority. Geographic location is also suggested if working within a specific local area. Example Denver Cosmetic Dentist, Miami Divorce Attorney
- Introduction – This should be 150-300 words describing who he Expert helps and an overview of how they help them. This should not be a resume or list of credentials.
The Interview
The next section of the Chapter Submission Template is where you will insert the edited interview transcript.
- Interview Section Title – After the introduction the Interview Section of the content will be labeled “Conversation with Author Name
- The Q&A Transcript – This section MUST be at least 1500 words. 3000 is a good target.
- Interview Question – The edited interview transcript will contain the questions in italics without an interviewer name label.
- Interview Answer – The Experts answer will be labeled with the Experts Name: in bold followed by their answer in regular format.
Conclusion
The next section of the Chapter Submission Template is where you will insert the conclusion.
- Final Call To Action Question – The last question of the interview should ask how readers can find out more about the Expert and their business.
- Call To Action Answer – The answer should be a non hype information about how to learn more about the Expert. In can include a directive to visit a website, social media, landing page to download free gift. Please limit options to 2. Other links can be included in the About The Author section.
About The Author
The next section of the Chapter Submission Template is where you will insert the Expert Author’s Image, Bio Information and Contact Information.
- Expert Author Image – This should be a headshot image in jpg format at least 300×300 pixels. The image will be converted into Grayscale (Black&White) for publishing.
- Expert Author Bio – The bio should be 150-300 words and can include more about the Expert, including background and credentials held.
- Contact Info – You can include multiple contact points for Expert Author including websites, email, physical address, social media links etc..
Publication
- Raising the Bar will be published quarterly. Additional versions may be published if needed.
- You will be notified by email when your chapter has been approved and scheduled for publishing.
